Lindis Lookout Luxury Wanaka Retreat

It’s really close in town. Easy excess to town. Great location. Positive: Yes in Excellence condition. Negative: Every thing is perfect.

A decent house, but provisions were limited and comfort could be improved. Positive: There was adequate space and it was easy to find. Well located to shops in Wanaka that are just a short drive. The outlook to the mountains was lovely. The beds were fairly comfortable. Negative: Very basic provisions, for example I couldn’t find paper towel, a serviette, a clothes horse or even a tissue. The cleaning could be stepped up, the table still had some crumbs and there is a dust build up behind the bath. The curtains are terrible and did nothing to block the light so we didn’t sleep well (this had already been mentioned in a previous review as well). The house is advertised as having air conditioning which is a little misleading as the a/c is only in the main room and not in the bedrooms which got quite hot at night in summer. The word ‘luxury’ in the name didn’t meet the experience.

Very enjoyable stay Positive: The house is huge and clean, we really like the motion sensor step and pathway lights in the corridor and bathrooms, the host is very respondsive, such an enjoyable 2 nights stay! Negative: The curtain in the living room to the backyard was too thin to block any light and heat, it got so warm sitting at the sofa watching TV in the afternoon, would be perfect if the extra layer of curtain could be added!

Stylish, warm and spotless. The owners have thought of everything, even a ski boot dryer! You won’t be disappointed. 10/10
